Operation: Steam Knights (OSK120418) - x212 centrix LDD

Even though this is a continuation of the X series piloted exo-frames, I'm going to move it over to the medieval universe theme as I feel the knight look fits that theme better. As a result I'm modifying the back story and description slightly. Name: Sir Centrix Dark Knight Role: Ruler of the high lands and knight to Emperor Rex Motto: for the peace of the day, I own the night. History: Centrix is a nocturnal warrior, a tracker and hunter, some believe he is no longer human, and rumours he may in fact be a vampire have circulated throughout the lands of Emeror Rex. But his loyalty to the crown is never in question and his enchanted armour that grants him a centaur like form, has been used in defence of the high lands from invaders for decades. He wields a lance and a shield, which houses twin bolt launchers, perfect for taking out a distant target silently. Because of his nocturnal activities, he's often the first to stand against Mortilus and his un-dead armies when they venture east. However, since his lands border those of the dark elves, he often meets Captain Chiro in battle. NOTE: The more observant will note that many of these designs now feature a product code. Either MU or OSK and then a series of numbers. This code is basically the sub-series identifier with a number representing the date they were created/uploaded. I did this for two reasons: 1. I wanted to display the list chronologically. 2. I wanted to make a clear distinction between the Steam Knight concepts and the rest of the medieval projects. I may add the product codes to the Cuusoo projects later.

Operation: Steam Knights - Bone Mecha Monster

NOW ON CUUSOO Created by the necromancer, the bone mecha is made up of a combination of reanimated bones and magical metals, powered by a crystal embedded in the chest. Comments: I've had this idea for a mecha unit that looked more skeletal like. The original bone army mechs were only piloted by skeleton warriors, they weren't actually skeletal themselves. I'm about 75% ok with the end result. for one thing the legs aren't what I originally wanted, and it can't handle weapons, but the skeleton pieces worked out reasonably well. I suspect I may revisit this again when I have some new ideas.

August Challenger is Ended.

My August Challenge - has ended!!. 28/07/2013 - I've set myself a challenge. Starting 28/7/2013, ending 10/08/2013, I need to create (or rather recreate) a design based on the following concept: What if "the king" also had a Steam Knight armour? Guidelines: - The armour must look like it is intended for royalty, (in other words it needs to look better designed, made from stronger materials, and possibly better decorated than the other armours. Possibly more ceremonial looking than functional). - The armour MUST include at least one feature no previous Steam Knight has. - The armour should include a weapon "fit for a king". (In other words, don't rip off an existing design). - The final design should be ready to upload to Cuusoo no later than 11/08/2013. Edit(05/08/2013): (work in progress) I'm going to be posting images of each version as I complete them, here are links to the current crop 1 3 4 As I explained in the notes for "3" I scrapped the changes for "2" before I took any images so they are not included. In a realm of magic the wise men and elves have invented steam technology, these walking suits of armour have been dubbed "Steam Knights". Name: Emperor Rex Species: Human Known History: Rex is the ruler of the human occupied lands of the medieval Universe of the Steam Knights. For most of his life he has ruled from his lion sculpted golden throne with honour and wisdom, but the rising threat of the Wyvern sect of humans has caused him to become more directly involved in the wars fought to protect his lands. Seeking the aid of the Wiseman of the Woods, Rex was given a silver talisman with strange characters inscribed on it in a language Rex recognised from the ship wrecks washed ashore following his war with the invaders from the East. Returning, troubled by this revelation, he sat in his throne pondering the implications, when the castle was attacked. The combination of Rex's need to act and the Eastern magics of the Changelings transformed the throne into a Steam Knight armour. After engaging Lord Bryson in battle the armour converted into its secondary form to battle Bryson's Cockatrice, that of a huge golden lion. Notes: The design isn't on Cuusoo yet as I stupidly tried to post a different design on Friday, which was rejected because the subject matter (my horrific Bone mech) was considered too mature. So I have to wait 48 hours before I can post this design. But hopefully it should be up by Monday. As always please feel free to comment and rate. Spam and duplicate posts will be deleted.
